Instructions for Assembling & Attaching the Pole
After unboxing the Lift N' Bag, you will notice that the pole requires minor assembly and is not yet attached to the scoop head. Follow the instructions below to get started. We recommend having a Phillips screwdriver on hand for this part.
- Start by twisting the two pieces of the pole together until tight.
- Then attach the piece that slides into the scoop head to the pole. To do this, slide the attachment onto the side of the pole with the two screw holes.
- Insert the screw so that the Phillips-head side fits into the side of the adapter with the round hole.
- Then, put the nut on the side of the adapter with the hexagon hole.
- Now use your fingers or the screwdriver to tighten the screw.
- After assembling the pole, attach it to the scoop head. To do this, line up the adapter with the curved opening on the scoop head, hold the trap door back, and push the pole into the opening until you hear it click into place.
Instructions for Inserting Bags
- Tear a bag off the roll and line the bin with the bag.
- Push the bag into all four corners of the bottom of the bin to get the maximum bag capacity. There will be a good amount of excess bag; fold that over the sides of the bin.
- Reattach the scoop head by pushing it down onto the bin. You should hear it click into place.
- Now, you're ready to go!
Tips for Use
- When picking up dog waste, ensure that you slide the tines under the waste and lift. Do not try to poke the waste with the tines. If you do accidentally get waste stuck on the tines, simply slide it off in the grass and scoop again. Also, don't go too far under the waste, or you might end up ripping up dirt and grass.
- When scooping smaller dog poop, ensure the waste is close to the trap door opening before lifting. If you lift too soon, you will not engage the smaller tines that are designed to catch those small pieces.
- To clean, rinse off with a garden hose.
- Always order Lift N' Bag replacement bags. These bags have been specially designed to fit the Lift N' Bag bin. Standard dog waste bags are smaller in dimensions.
